Twas the night before chemo and all through the house...

Relaxing before the big event...

From Lenina
(Tristan's Mom)

Tristan's hair started falling out on Friday. As awful as that can be - especially given that he has great hair (!) he and Chris (Tristan's Dad) both shaved their heads Saturday morning. Lest it be just a ho-hum experience, my good friend Leighann, owner of Leighann's Hair Studio and Spa in Greenwood Village, pampered them and comped the services (Thank You!!).

Chris (Dad) goes first

Caleb (brother) waits patiently

Not so sure...

Almost Done!

Bald and Beautiful...

We have Chemo tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday. We will update during that time to let you know how round two of chemotherapy goes. As always, thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers.

Hi, Tristan! Bob and I are friends of your Smith grandparents, and have been praying for and thinking of you daily. You were prayed for at St. Paul's Episcopal Church yesterday here in New Orleans--our Church was under 8 feet of water for 2 weeks in the aftermath of Katrina, but we're as tough as you hockey players "up North", and know a bit about recovery and survival--so here we are, alive and kickin' (and praying!). Hope this cycle of chemotherapy goes well for you--and badly for old germinoma. Keep on keeping on, buddy--there are lots of people cheering you on! Best wishes, Norris & Bob

Hey, Cuz! Haven't checked in on you in a couple of weeks, but you are always close in my thoughts and prayers. The new hair cuts look superb, sweetie -- and you're always going to be handsome (hair or no hair!) to those of us who love you.

I know how awful nausea can be, so I hope that part will let up soon. You just hang in there. This too shall pass...

Love, deb

Tristan:

Just think of all the cash you can save on shampoo...not that you used allot in the past anyway by the looks of the pics. I know your Mom could use some.

We'll be praying for you here in Texas that you come through the treatments with flying colors. I'll wait until after the chemo to crank up the "Avs suck" rhetoric. I need you feeling better so I can make you sick ;-)
